The Department of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, the Department of Textile and Polymer Engineering, and the Department of Chemical Engineering consolidated as a single department with respective subprograms.
10 September1998
The Textile and Polymer Engineering Program was reestablished as an independent department, and the department was renamed as the School of Applied Chemistry.
28 February2005
The department was renamed as the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.
